Elizabeth woke up. As usual she was moping about Conner. She got dressed and got her stuff. Then walked out of her new house. She saw moving van next store. New neighbors great, she thought. Then she realized she didn't have school today. This Conner thing really got depressed. She walked passed the house house with the moving van, and suddenly a person came jogging up to her. It was a guy, he had blond hair, and a good complexion. "Hi," he said, flashing a smile that made her go limp. "Hi," she said. Ok, maybe I can talk to guys, she thought. "I'm Cody, I just moved here. I couldn't help noticing you coming out of the house next store, " he said his blue eyes twinkling. Those eyes were not at all like Conner's. Conner had green flashing eyes. "Elizabeth," she said giving a half grin. "Sorry that, that sounded like such a line," Cody said. "Don't worry. Are you a senior?" she asked, suddenly feeling stupid. "Yeah, SVH," he said, "I just moved fro!
m New Jersey, with my 2 bros."
Suddenly two boys ran out of the house. "These are Cory and Corby," Cody said. Liz couldn't help, but laugh. "Cody, Cory, and Corby," I laughed. "Sort of a tradition, my parents are Carl and Carrie." Cody seemed to be the oldest, Cory looked like he was in eighth grade he also had blond hair and blue eyes, but Corby looked like he was in fourth grade and he had red hair. Cody noticed Liz looking at Corby and said, "Also all my family has blond hair. Corby's the odd ball."
He has such a great smile, Liz thought. "It must be nice having younger siblings, all I've got is a twin and an older brother," Elizabeth said. "It's fun, but they can be real pains too. We move a lot, but this time I think it's permanent," Cody smiled. "You move a lot?" Liz questioned. "Yeah. Texas, Illonois, New York, Hawaii, and Vermont. You name it I've probably lived there," he said. "Well, I better get going," Liz said smiling. "Hey, would your family like to come over to dinner? That's sorta why I'm supposed to talk to you," he siad. "So this whole introductory, was just to get my family to have dinner?" I asked pretending to be hurt,"We'd love to." "Is tonight good?" he asked. "Sure, bye," I yelled walking away. Maybe I'm not hopeless after all, Liz thought. The best thing about him is he doesn't act like Conner, or dress like Conner. Actually Cody was wearing a blue long sleeve shirt and a big gold X in the middle with a circle around it. On that it said Hockey Team, and he was wearing baggy black cargo pants that went a little past his knee. Liz couldn't wait for tonight. Does she actually like Cody? Will she forget about Conner?
