Elizabeth glared over at Cheyenne for the millionth time during class. She couldn't help but let her insecurities get to her. She quickly scribbled a note on a sheet of paper.
Cheyenne,
Are you interested in Conner?
W/b Liz
She handed the note to a fellow classmate to pass to Cheyenne. She waited as the seconds seemed to pass by like minutes before she finally got the crumpled note back in her hand. It read:
I'm not really sure.
Why were you so mean to me over him?

Liz quickly jotted down a response. Honesty is the best policy...Right?
I thought that him and I were going out.
I thought that Conner loved me...
I really like him a lot though......

Elizabeth looked up and saw Conner stride into the room. She felt her palms become hot. She quickly passed the note. Her classmate began to look slightly annoyed. She flashed him a quick smile. She stared at the back of Melissa's head. First Jessica dates her boyfriend, then she has sex with him... I almost feel sorry for Melissa. Liz felt a tap on her shoulder. The classmate thrust her the paper.
Ok. Well, I'm glad you told me that.
I'm sort of busy right now...

Elizabeth breathed a sigh of relief. She stole one more look at Conner and Cheyenne. She caught Tia's eyes. Tia flashed her a quick look of sympathy before turning her attention back to the movie. Cheyenne was writing intently into a notebook. Conner was sitting at his desk with his hands under his desk. Elizabeth just knew for sure he was thinking of her. The bell rang dismissing the students. Elizabeth hurried out of class. She didn't want to wait for Conner because she really wanted to talk to Jessica.
" Jess! Wait up!"
" What do you want?" Jessica asked.
" I wanted to tell you that I'm sorry for reacting the way I did and I wanted to tell you that Lila wants to be your friend again!"
" You aren't mad at me?"
" I'm not mad.. Just disappointed... But I still love you." Jessica smiled. She gave her sister a quick hug.
" Well, I'll see you at home! I have to go to Trig!"
" Okay! See you at lunch!" Elizabeth hollered after her sister.
