Ken looked over at Amy Sutton. He felt his heart start to accelerate as he continued to stare at her. Physics class held no special meaning to Ken's life but he paid attention to Mr. Wilson....partially. He glanced at Will Simmons who was staring at Melissa Fox. He wondered why they weren't sitting together. Then Ken's eye was caught on another girl sitting beside Melissa. She was pretty. All of a sudden he wanted to talk to her and Amy and head to a player status. The bell rang ending class. He stood up and pretended to gather his things until Amy neared him.
" Hi Amy."
" Hi." Amy said and headed towards the door. Ken quickly started after her.
" How have you been?"
" Fine Ken." Ken refused to give up so easily.
" Would you like to go out sometime?" Amy stopped in her tracks and turned around with a look of pure surprise in her eyes.
" Me go out with you? Beautiful, popular me go out with unpopular, dated a dork you? Are you crazy! I don't even want to talk to you. You used to be something, then you let Jessica make an ass out of you and then you let that little nerdy bitch Olive make an even bigger ass of you!"
Ken's eyes became filled with rage.
" Don't you dare talk about Olivia that way you shallow, stupid whore!"
" I'll talk about her and you and everybody else as much as I damn well please." Ken couldn't control his anger any longer. A crowd began to form around the two. Ken took his fist and balled it up and knocked Amy to the floor. As soon as he hit her he regretted it.
